Western Australian Consolidated Acts “reciprocal person” means a person
that, under a law of the Commonwealth, another State or a Territory that
corresponds with this Act, has functions that correspond with
the Director’s.
(2) The Director may
enter into an agreement with a reciprocal person under which —
(a) the
Director may take action in this State to recover a record that under the law
of the other place corresponds to a government record and to give the record
to the reciprocal person; and
(b) the
reciprocal person may take action in the other place to recover a
government record and to give the record to the Director.
(3) Sections 52 and
53, with any necessary changes, apply for the purpose of the Director taking
action to recover a record for a reciprocal person.
