Western Australian Consolidated Acts Western Australian Consolidated Acts (1) Where it is
alleged that a contravention of this Division has occurred, a complaint may be
lodged under section 83(1) or (2) of the Equal Opportunity
Act 1984 as if the alleged contravention were a contravention of that
Act, and the provisions of that Act shall apply accordingly.
(2) A contravention of
this Division shall not attract any sanction or consequence, whether criminal
or civil, except as provided in subsection (1).
(3) Nothing in
subsection (2) prevents an action for defamation.
