A Bill for
An Act to amend the Valuation of Land Act 1978.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Valuation of Land Amendment (Assessed Value)
3 Act 2009.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act -- on a day fixed by proclamation,
9 and different days may be fixed for different provisions.
10 3. Act amended
11 This Act amends the Valuation of Land Act 1978.
12 4. Section 4 amended
13 In section 4(1) in the definition of assessed value:
14 (a) delete "thereof " and insert:

18 (b) delete "prescribed;" and insert:

20 prescribed either --
21 (a) in respect of land generally; or
22 (b) in respect of a class of lands which includes the
23 land;
