A Bill for
An Act to amend the Stamp Act 1921.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1. Short title
This is the Stamp Amendment (Taxing) Act 2005.
2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the same day that section 6 of
5 the Stamp Amendment (Assessment) Act 2005 comes into
operation.
3. The Act amended
The amendments in this Act are to the Stamp Act 1921*.

10 4. Second Schedule amended
The Second Schedule item 16 is deleted and the following item
is inserted instead --
"
16. POLICY OF INSURANCE
(1) A return under section 94 ... See section 94A The insurer
(2) A statement under The person
section 95A ..................... See section 95A required to lodge
the statement
".
15 5. Third Schedule amended
The Third Schedule item 8 is deleted.
