An Act to amend the Petroleum Retailers Rights And Liabilities Act
1982 and the Petroleum Products Pricing Act 1983.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1 -- Preliminary
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Petroleum Legislation Amendment
(LPG) Act 2000.
5 2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on which it receives the Royal
Assent.

3. Principal Act
In this Part the Petroleum Retailers Rights And Liabilities Act
5 1982* is referred to as the principal Act.

4. Section 3 amended
10 Section 3 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1) by
inserting after "petrol" in the definition of "motor fuel" the
following --
" , liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ".
5. Section 4 amended
15 Section 4 of the principal Act is amended --
(1) In subsection (1) by --
(a) inserting after "persons)" the following --
"
purchase motor fuel from a supplier
20 other than his primary supplier or
"; and
(b) inserting after the phrase "which he is" the
following --
" hereby "; and

(2) In subsection (5) by inserting after "agreement" the
following --
"
(a) requires the tenant to purchase motor
5 fuel of any kind or grade exclusively
from the landlord or primary supplier;
".

6. Principal Act
In this Part the Petroleum Products Pricing Act 1983* is
referred to as the principal Act.

7. Section 3 amended
Section 3 of the principal Act is amended in subsection (1) --
10 (a) by inserting after "means" in the definition of "declared
petroleum product" the following --
" liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or "; and
(b) by inserting after "petrol" in the definition of "motor
fuel" the following --
15 " liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), ".
