Public Interest Disclosure Amendment Bill 2003
A Bill for
An Act to amend the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2003.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Public Interest Disclosure
5 Amendment Act 2003.
2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives
the Royal Assent.

3. The Act amended
The amendments in this Act are to the Public Interest
Disclosure Act 2003.
4. Section 13A inserted
5 After section 13 the following section is inserted --
"
13A. Public Disclosure
A person who has made an appropriate disclosure of
public interest information under this Act retains all of
10 the protection provided in Section 13(b) in the event a
public disclosure of the public interest information was
in the public interest.
".
5. Section 17 amended
15 Section 17 is amended as follows:
(a) by deleting at the end of paragraph (a) the semicolon
and "or" after it;
(b) by deleting paragraph (b).
