A Bill for
An Act to amend the Daylight Saving Act 2006 by providing for a
referendum to be held on 20 October 2007.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1 -- Preliminary
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Daylight Saving Amendment Act
2007.
5 2. Commencement
This provisions of this Act shall come into operation on the day
on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Part 2 -- Daylight Saving Act 2006 amended
3. The Act amended
The amendments in this Part are to the Daylight Saving
Act 2006.
5 4. Section 4 amended
Section 4 is amended by deleting paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) and
inserting instead --
"
the hour of 2 a.m. on 3 December 2006 until the hour
10 of 2 a.m. on 25 March 2007
".
5. Section 5 amended
(1) Section 5(1) is amended by deleting "a day not earlier than
10 May 2009 or later than 13 September 2009" and inserting
15 instead --
" 20 October 2007 ".
(2) Section 5(2) is amended by deleting all words after "October"
and inserting instead --
"
20 2007 until the last Sunday in March 2008 and in a
similar fashion from the last Sunday in October until
the last Sunday in March for each following year?
".
