A Bill for
An Act to amend the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Act 1990.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

1 1. Short title
2 This is the Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Amendment
3 Act 2009.
4 2. Commencement
5 This Act comes into operation as follows --
6 (a) sections 1 and 2 -- on the day on which this Act
7 receives the Royal Assent;
8 (b) the rest of the Act on the day after that day.
9 3. Act amended
10 This Act amends the Child Support (Adoption of Laws)
11 Act 1990.
12 4. Purpose of Act
13 The purpose of this Act is to provide that the adoption by the
14 Child Support (Adoption of Laws) Act 1990 of --
15 (a) the Child Support (Registration and Collection)
16 Act 1988 (Commonwealth) extends to that Act as
17 amended by, or as a consequence of the enactment of,
18 the following Commonwealth Acts --
19 (i) New Business Tax System (Alienation of
20 Personal Services Income) Act 2000;
21 (ii) Financial Sector Legislation Amendment Act
22 (No. 1) 2000;
23 (iii) Corporations (Repeals, Consequentials and
24 Transitionals) Act 2001;
25 (iv) Statute Law Revision Act 2007;
26 (v) Superannuation Legislation Amendment
27 (Simplification) Act 2007;
28 (vi) Families, Housing, Community Services and
29 Indigenous Affairs and Other Legislation
