Amendment Bill 1999
A Bill for
An Act to amend the Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act 1995.
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Caravan Parks and Camping
Grounds Amendment Act 1999.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives
the Royal Assent.
3. Principal Act
5 In this Act the Caravan Parks and Camping Grounds Act 1995*
is referred to as the principal Act.

10 4. New section 31A
The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 31 the
following--
"
31A. Minister may exempt certain areas
15 (1) The Minister may, for certain purposes of caravanning
and camping, prescribe by regulation any public place,
including any park or reserve, to be exempt from the
operation of--
(a) regulations made under section 28;
20 (b) by-laws made under section 29; or
(c) any other provision,
of this Act.
(2) An exemption prescribed under subsection (1) may--
(a) relate to a specified public place or to public
25 places of a specified kind;
(b) be absolute or conditional; or

(c) operate continuously or at a specified time or
times.
".
