The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Part 1 -- Preliminary
1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Criminal Code Amendment
(Alternative Offences to Wilful Murder) Act 2005.
5 2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives
the Royal Assent.

4. Section 278 amended
Section 278 is amended by inserting at the end of section 278 --

10 Alternative offence: s.279, 280, 281A, 283, 290 or 291 or
Road Traffic Act 1974 s.59.
".
