An Act to amend the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority Act 1998.



The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

     1.         Short title
                This is the Botanic Gardens and Parks Amendment Act 2006.

     2.         Commencement
                This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives
 5              the Royal Assent.

     3.         The Act amended
                The amendments in this Part are to the Botanic Gardens and
                Parks Authority Act 1998.

     4.         Section 3 amended
10        (1)   Section 3 is amended by inserting in the definition of
                "designated land" --
                "   (b) Sunset Park;   ".
          (2)   Section 3 is amended by inserting in the appropriate
                alphabetical position --
15              " "Sunset Park" means all of the land from time to time
                within Reserve No. 1720 (known as Sunset Site) classified as of
                Class A; ".
