                               A Bill for


An Act to amend the Adoption Act 1994.



The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:


1.      Short title
        This Act may be cited as the Adoption Amendment Act 2002.

    2.       Commencement
             This Act comes into operation on the day it received the Royal
             Assent.

    3.       Principal Act
5            In this Act the Adoption Act 1994 is referred to as the principal
             Act.

    4.       Section 52(1)(a) amended
             Section 52(1)(a) of the principal Act is amended by deleting
             sub-paragraph (iii).
