PROTECTED DISCLOSURE ACT 2012 (NO. 85 OF 2012) - SECT 41
Protection from defamation action(1) Without limiting section 39, in any proceeding for defamation there is a defence of absolute privilege in respect of the making of a protected disclosure.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person who, in making the protected disclosure, has contravened section 72(1) or (2) in relation to the information disclosed.
