MARINE SAFETY ACT 2010 (NO. 65 OF 2010) - SECT 62
Offence to operate or cause or allow a commercially operated vessel to be operated without a safe construction certificate(1) The owner of a commercially operated vessel must not operate the vessel, or cause or allow the vessel to be operated, unless there is a safe construction certificate issued and in effect in respect of the vessel.
Penalty: In the case of a natural person, 120 penalty units;
In the case of a body corporate, 600 penalty units.
(2) The master of a commercial vessel must not operate the vessel, or cause or allow the vessel to be operated, unless there is a safe construction certificate issued and in effect in respect of the vessel.
Penalty: In the case of a natural person, 120 penalty units;
In the case of a body corporate, 600 penalty units.
