CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT 2009 (NO. 7 OF 2009) - SECT 315

Powers which may be exercised by a single Judge of Appeal

    (1)     The following powers of the Court of Appeal under this Part may be exercised by a single Judge of Appeal in the same manner as they may be exercised by the Court of Appeal—

        (a)     to give leave to appeal;

        (b)     to review a refusal to certify;

        (c)     to extend the time within which notice of appeal may be given;

        (d)     to extend the time within which notice of application for leave to appeal may be given;

        (e)     to grant the appellant bail;

        (f)     to order stays of sentence.

    (2)     If a Judge of Appeal refuses an application to exercise a power referred to in subsection (1), the applicant is entitled to have the application determined by the Court of Appeal.
