Transport (Passenger Vehicles) Regulations 2005 - SECT 66
Entering and leaving
66. Entering and leaving
(1) A person in or on a public commercial passenger vehicle or a public
passenger vehicle operated for the purpose of a regular passenger service must
not without reasonable excuse or the permission of the driver of the vehicle-
(a) enter or attempt to enter the vehicle where it has only stopped for
passengers to leave; or
(b) leave or attempt to leave the vehicle where it has only stopped for
passengers to enter.
Penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) A person in or on a public commercial passenger vehicle or a public
passenger vehicle operated for the purpose of a regular passenger service must
not, without reasonable excuse or the permission of the driver of the vehicle,
enter or leave or attempt to enter or leave the vehicle-
(a) other than through a door designed to operate as an ordinary point of
entry or exit from the vehicle; or
(b) through an emergency exit when there is no emergency.
Penalty: 10 penalty units.
