No drinking liquor or possessing open liquor containers

57. No drinking liquor or possessing open liquor containers



(1) A passenger on a public commercial passenger vehicle or a public passenger
vehicle operated for the purpose of a regular passenger service must not-

   (a)  drink from a container that contains, or purports to contain, liquor;
        or

   (b)  possess an open container that contains, or purports to contain,
        liquor-

without the permission of the licence holder for the vehicle or person
accredited to operate the vehicle. Penalty: 5 penalty units.

(2) In this regulation-

liquor has the same meaning as in section 3 of the
Liquor Control Reform Act 1998.
