Driver to remain with vehicle

36. Driver to remain with vehicle

If a vehicle is on a highway, the driver of the vehicle must stay with the
vehicle at all times unless-

   (a)  the driver is helping passengers to enter or leave the vehicle; or

   (b)  the driver is picking up or delivering goods; or

   (c)  the driver has a reasonable cause not to be with the vehicle.

Penalty: 5 penalty units.
