2.24. Security may be ordered



(1) If the trial judge makes an order for the payment of money, the trial
judge may direct that the order take effect immediately unless security is
given to the satisfaction of the person in whose favour the order is made.

(2) A direction under paragraph (1) may be given notwithstanding that the
order would otherwise be suspended under section 570 of the Act or Rule 2.22.
