1. General Information
The Supreme Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2008, S.R. No. 12/2008 were made on 27 February 2008 by the Judges of the Supreme Court under section 25 of the Supreme Court Act 1986, No. 110/1986; sections 366 and 583 of the Crimes Act 1958, No. 6231/1958; section 68 of the Sentencing Act 1991, No. 49/1991; and section 50 of Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984, No. 10096/1984 and came into operation on 25 March 2008: rule 1.03(1).
The Supreme Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2008 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 27 February 2018 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).
2. Table of Amendments
This Version incorporates amendments made to the Supreme Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2008 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
