Personal service of originating process

6.02. Personal service of originating process



(1) Except where otherwise provided by or under any Act or these Rules,
originating process shall be served personally on each defendant.

(2) Where a defendant to any originating process files an unconditional
appearance, the originating process shall be taken to have been served on the
defendant personally on the day on which the appearance is filed or on such
earlier day as may be proved.
