Notice of renewal of driver licence

209. Notice of renewal of driver licence



(1) A notice of renewal of a driver licence is a notice-

   (a)  addressed to the holder of the driver licence; and

   (b)  stating that, if the driver licence is not renewed on or before a date
        specified in the notice, the driver licence will expire.

(2) If the Corporation fails to send a notice of renewal of a driver licence
or if the notice is not received by the holder of a driver licence, that
failure or non receipt does not affect-

   (a)  the expiry date of the driver licence; and

   (b)  the obligation of the holder of the driver licence to renew the
        licence if he or she intends to drive a motor vehicle on a highway
        after the expiry date of his or her existing licence.
