Registration fees for heavy vehicles

235. Registration fees for heavy vehicles



(1) The fee for registration or renewal of registration of a vehicle of a kind
referred to in Schedule 4A is the fee ascertained in accordance with that
Schedule, except where this regulation otherwise provides.

(2) A fee is not payable under Schedule 4A if, under Schedule 4, a fee would
not be payable for registration of the vehicle.

Example Specified vehicles equipped for combating outbreaks of fire are
subject to a "nil" fee under item 8 of Schedule 4. A fee is not payable for
those vehicles under Schedule 4A.

(3) If a fee payable under Schedule 4A is greater than the fee that would be
payable under Schedule 4 for a vehicle described in vehicle category 5, 6, 10,
12, 15, 18 or 19 in that Schedule, the fee is to be reduced by the amount of
the difference between the two fees.
