Repossession and restoration

231. Repossession and restoration



(1) The holder of a security interest in a registered vehicle must notify the
Corporation, and apply for transfer of registration of the vehicle, not more
than 14 days after-

   (a)  taking possession of the vehicle from the registered operator; or

   (b)  returning possession of the vehicle to the registered operator.

Penalty: 5 penalty units.

(2) Notification of taking or returning possession must be in a form approved
by the Corporation.

(3) An application for transfer of registration under this regulation must be-

   (a)  in a form approved by the Corporation; and

   (b)  accompanied by the relevant fee set out in Schedule 6.
