Process for production of printed image

313. Process for production of printed image

An image or message is produced by a prescribed process used in the prescribed
manner for the purposes of sections 80(b), 80A, 81(1)(c), 81(2), 83A(1) and
84(7) of the Act if-



   (a)  a printed image is produced from a digital file created by a control
        unit or by the process prescribed in regulation 313A; and





   (b)  the data contained in the digital file has been verified by a
        computer-

   (i)  recalculating the checksum produced for that file; and



   (ii) confirming that the checksum produced by the recalculation is
        identical to the checksum contained in that file; and

   (c)  the printed image contains an image derived from the digital image
        (with or without decompressing the digital image) and a message
        indicating-

   (i)  the date on which, and the time and place at which, the vehicle was
        driven or the digital image was captured by an approved camera; and

   (ii) if the printed image (other than an image captured by an approved
        camera) is relevant to an offence of exceeding a speed limit, the
        speed limit at the time and place at which the vehicle was driven and
        the speed or average speed at which the vehicle was driven; and

   (iia) if the printed image is produced from a digital file created by the
        process prescribed in regulation 313A, data relating to the
        calculation of the average speed of the vehicle; and

   (iii) if the printed image is relevant to an offence of disobeying a
        traffic control signal, the length of time for which that traffic
        control signal had been red.
