Qualifications for admission
4.08. Qualifications for admission
(1) The qualifications for admission in Victoria of an overseas practitioner
are-
(a) that the practitioner complies with any directions given by the
Council under rule 4.15; and
(b) that the practitioner is of good reputation and character and a fit
and proper person to be admitted; and
(c) that the practitioner has a sufficient knowledge of written and spoken
English to engage in legal practice in Victoria.
(2) The Board of Examiners may require an applicant to pass an examination
specified by the Board for the purposes of subrule (1)(c).
