Offence to possess certain fish other than whole or in the form of carcass

    (1)     A person in or on Victorian waters must not possess black bream, dusky flathead, elephantfish, freshwater catfish, golden perch, King George whiting, Macquarie perch, Murray cod, ray, salmonids, shark, silver perch, snapper, spiny freshwater crayfish, trout cod or tuna (other than skipjack tuna) in any form other than whole or in the form of a carcass.

Penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (2)     Subregulation (1) does not apply to—

        (a)     a holder of a fishing concession authorising the possession of elephantfish or shark issued under the Commonwealth Act; or

        (b)     a holder of an access licence in possession of ray when carrying out any fishing activities authorised by the licence in accordance with the licence, the Act and these Regulations.
