29. Recounts



(1) The returning officer may recount the votes at any time before the
declaration of the election-

   (a)  on the written request of any candidate stating the reasons for the
        request; or

   (b)  on his or her own motion.

(2) The returning officer must advise all candidates if a recount is to be
conducted.
