4. Commonwealth standard

For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of Commonwealth standard
in section 4(1) of the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981, the
current Poisons Standard within the meaning of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989
of the Commonwealth, as in force from time to time, is prescribed to be the
Commonwealth standard. --------------- ENDNOTES 1. General Information The
Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Commonwealth Standard) Regulations
2001, S.R. No. 84/2001 were made on 28 August 2001 by the Governor in Council
under sections 4(1) and 132 of the
Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981, No. 9719/1981 and came into
operation on 28 August 2001. The Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances
(Commonwealth Standard) Regulations 2001 will sunset 10 years after the day of
making on 28 August 2011 (see section 5 of the
Subordinate Legislation Act 1994). 2. Table of Amendments There are no
amendments made to the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances (Commonwealth
Standard) Regulations 2001 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and
Acts. 3. Explanatory Details
