Permits or licences to store blasting explosives issued under other legislation

405. Permits or licences to store blasting explosives issued under other
legislation

A person who, immediately before this regulation came into operation, held a
permit or licence to store explosives under the Mineral Resources Development
Act 1990 or the Extractive Industries Development Act 1995 is exempt from the
requirement to hold a licence under regulation 403 while engaged in the
activities authorised by the permit or licence-

   (a)  until 1 July 2005; or

   (b)  until the permit or licence expires-

(whichever occurs first).
