Authority may require changes to Safety Management System

309. Authority may require changes to Safety Management System



(1) The Authority may direct a licence holder to rescind, make, remake or vary
any part of a safety management system that it believes does not comply with
this Part.

(2) Any such direction must be made in writing.

(3) A licence holder must comply with a direction within 30 days, or by any
later date specified in the direction.

(4) The Authority must not issue a direction unless-

   (a)  it has given the licence holder a written notice that-

   (i)  states that the Authority intends to issue the direction; and

   (ii) sets out the reasons why it intends to issue the direction; and

   (iii) invites the licence holder to make a written submission about the
        Authority's intention to issue the direction; and

   (b)  it has considered any submission that is made in response to the
        notice.
