Section 39 of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984 provides that where a word or phrase is given a particular meaning in an Act or subordinate instrument, other parts of speech and grammatical forms of that word or phrase have, unless the contrary intention appears, corresponding meanings. - SECT 427
Manifest to be maintained
427. Manifest to be maintained
(1) Premises where dangerous goods are stored and handled in quantities that
exceed the relevant quantities specified in the column headed "Manifest
Quantity" in the table in Schedule 2 are prescribed premises for the purposes
of section 30 of the Act.
(2) A manifest is in the prescribed form for the purposes of section 30 of the
Act if it contains the information specified in Schedule 3.
(3) An occupier of prescribed premises must ensure that the manifest is kept
on the premises in a place where it is readily accessible to the emergency
services authority.
