Pleading to an amended pleading (1) A party shall plead to an amended pleading within 30 days after it is served on that party. (2) Where a party has pleaded to a pleading which is subsequently amended, the party shall be taken to rely on that party's original pleading in answer to the amended pleading unless the party pleads to it within the time limited for so doing.
