World Swimming Championships Act 2004 - SECT 1

PART 1 PRELIMINARY

Purposes

1. Purposes

The main purposes of this Act are-

   (a)  to make provision for the staging, conduct and management of the 2007
        World Swimming Championships;

   (b)  to establish the 2007 World Swimming Championships Corporation to be
        responsible for the conduct and management of the Championships and
        provide for the Corporation's functions and powers;

   (c)  to provide for the management and control of all commercial aspects of
        the Championships in accordance with agreements with FINA, including
        the controlling of broadcasts, telecasts, filming and advertising and
        the use of logos, images and references in connection with the
        Championships.
