Power to require answers etc. of members of the police force in certain investigations

90. Power to require answers etc. of members of the police force in certain
investigations



(1) In an investigation of a disclosed matter relating to a member of the
police force under this Part, the Chief Commissioner of Police may direct a
member of the police force to give any relevant information, produce any
relevant document or answer any relevant question.

(2) A member of the police force who does not comply with a direction under
subsection (1) commits a breach of discipline under section 69 of the
Police Regulation Act 1958.

(3) Except in proceedings for perjury, for a breach of discipline under
section 69 of the Police Regulation Act 1958 or for failure to comply with a
direction, any information or answer that is given, or document that is
produced, pursuant to a direction under subsection (1) is not admissible in
evidence before any court or person acting judicially.
