44. Referral of certain public interest disclosures to Chief Commissioner of
Police for investigation
(1) The Ombudsman may refer a disclosed matter to the Chief Commissioner of
Police to investigate if-
(a) the matter relates to a member of the police force other than the
Chief Commissioner of Police or a Deputy or Assistant Commissioner of
Police; and
(b) the Ombudsman considers it appropriate to do so.
(2) Part 7 applies to the investigation of a matter referred to the Chief
Commissioner of Police under this section.
