Sale of water shares by Minister

33P. Sale of water shares by Minister



(1) The Minister may enter into a contract for the sale of a water share
either-

   (a)  on conducting an auction for the sale of water shares; or

   (b)  after inviting and considering tenders for the sale of water shares;
        or

   (c)  in any other manner that the Minister thinks fit.

(2) The Minister must not enter into a contract for the sale of a water share
unless he or she has first caused a notice to be published in the Government
Gazette and in a newspaper circulating generally in the area of the proposed
associated water system for the share-

   (a)  declaring that the water share is available to be purchased by any
        person who satisfies the requirements specified in the notice; and

   (b)  giving details of the method by which the water share is to be sold.
