48B. Owner to be notified



(1) If the owner of a dog or cat which has been delivered to the authorised
officer of a Council under section 48A is able to be identified from a marker
attached to or implanted in the animal's body, the Council must notify the
owner of the seizure of the animal.

(2) A notice under this section must be in writing and must be delivered
either personally or by post within 4 days after the animal is seized.
