Hunting, taking or destroying notable wildlife
42. Hunting, taking or destroying notable wildlife
(1) A person must not hunt, take or destroy notable wildlife.
Penalty: 120 penalty units or 12 months imprisonment or both the fine and
imprisonment and an additional penalty of 10 penalty units for every head of
wildlife in respect of which an offence has been committed.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person-
(a) who is the holder of a licence or authorisation which authorises the
hunting, taking or destroying of notable wildlife; and
(b) who is acting in accordance with the licence or authorisation.
