Valuation of Land Act 1960 - SECT 13DA
Council valuations
13DA. Council valuations
(1) A Council may appoint one or more people to make valuations under this Act
for the purposes of the Local Government Act 19892.
(1A) The Council may only appoint a person who holds the qualifications or
experience specified from time to time by the Minister by notice published in
the Government Gazette3.
(2) If a valuer so qualified and acceptable to the Council is not reasonably
available, the valuer-general or a valuer nominated by the valuer-general may
make any or all of those valuations.
