79. Transitional provision (2007 Amending Act)



(1) In this section commencement day means 1 July 2007.

(2) The amendment of this Act made by section 3 of the Victims of Crime
Assistance Amendment Act 2007 applies only with respect to acts of violence
occurring on or after the commencement day and awards made under section 8A in
respect of such acts of violence.



(3) For the purposes of this section, if an act of violence occurs between two
dates, one before and one on or after the commencement day, the act of
violence occurs on or after the commencement day.
