Contempt of Tribunal

64. Contempt of Tribunal



(1) A person must not-

   (a)  hinder or obstruct a member of the Tribunal in the exercise of the
        powers or the performance of the functions of the member under this
        Act;

   (b)  interrupt any proceedings of the Tribunal;





   (c)  use insulting language towards a member of the Tribunal when the
        member is exercising powers or performing functions under this Act;

   (d)  create a disturbance or take part in creating a disturbance in or near
        a place where the Tribunal is sitting;

   (e)  do any other thing that would, if the Tribunal were a court of record,
        constitute a contempt of that court.

Penalty: 50 penalty units.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) limits or takes away any power conferred on the
Tribunal by, or exercisable in relation to the Tribunal by virtue of, section
37(1).
