12. Related victim pool



(1) The total maximum cumulative amount that may be awarded to all the related
victims of any one primary victim is $100 000 less any amount awarded for the
funeral expenses of the primary victim in accordance with Division 4.

(2) Despite anything to the contrary in this Act, in exceptional circumstances
a related victim may be awarded assistance by the Tribunal despite that award
of assistance causing the limit set by subsection (1) to be exceeded.
