Offences relating to inspections under Part 3
23. Offences relating to inspections under Part 3
(1) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, refuse or fail-
(a) to attend before a person; or
(b) to furnish information; or
(c) to answer a question-
when required under section 19 to do so.
(2) A person must not-
(a) without reasonable excuse, wilfully obstruct, hinder or resist a
person in connection with the exercise of the Special Investigations
Monitor's functions under Part 3; or
(b) give to an inspecting officer, in connection with an inspection under
Part 3, information or a statement that the first-mentioned person
knows to be false or misleading in a material particular.
Penalty: 10 penalty units or imprisonment for 6 months.
