Regular inspections of records of Police Force

11. Regular inspections of records of Police Force



(1) The Special Investigations Monitor must inspect the records of the Police
Force-

   (a)  at least once during the period beginning on the commencement day and
        ending on the following 30 June; and





   (b)  at least twice during each financial year beginning after the 30 June
        referred to in paragraph (a)-

in order to ascertain the extent to which the officers of the Police Force
have complied with Part 2 since the commencement day, or since the last
inspection under this Division of the records of the Police Force, as the case
requires.

(2) The Special Investigations Monitor may at any time inspect records of the
Police Force in order to ascertain the extent to which officers of the Police
Force have complied during any period with Part 2.

(3) In this section-

commencement day means the day on which section 25 of the Investigative,
Enforcement and Police Powers Acts (Amendment) Act 2005 comes into operation.
