TRANSPORT INTEGRATION ACT 2010 - SECT 186

When the Chief Investigator, Transport Safety ceases to hold office

A person ceases to be the Chief Investigator, Transport Safety—

S. 186(a) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(b).

        (a)     at the expiry of the person's term of office; or

S. 186(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).

        (b)     if the person resigns in accordance with section 187; or

S. 186(c) amended by Nos 41/2019 s. 100, 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).

        (c)     if the person is removed from office under section 188; or



S. 186(d) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).

        (d)     if the person becomes an insolvent under administration; or

S. 186(e) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).

        (e)     if the person is convicted of an indictable offence or of an offence which, if committed in Victoria, would be an indictable offence; or

S. 186(f) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).

        (f)     if the person nominates for election as a member of the Parliament of any jurisdiction.
