TRANSPORT INTEGRATION ACT 2010 - SECT 186
When the Chief Investigator, Transport Safety ceases to hold officeA person ceases to be the Chief Investigator, Transport Safety—

(a) at the expiry of the person's term of office; or
S. 186(b) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).
(b) if the person resigns in accordance with section 187; or
S. 186(c) amended by Nos 41/2019 s. 100, 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).
(c) if the person is removed
from office under section 188; or
S. 186(d) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).
(d) if the person becomes an insolvent under administration; or
S. 186(e) amended by No. 34/2023 s. 108(2)(c).
(e) if the person is convicted of an indictable offence or of an offence which, if committed in Victoria, would be an indictable offence; or

(f) if the person nominates for election as a member of the Parliament of any jurisdiction.
