Application to be referred to Director and Chief Commissioner
9. Application to be referred to Director and Chief Commissioner
(1) If an application is made under section 8, the Authority must, except in
the prescribed circumstances, give any details of the application that the
Authority considers relevant to the Director and the Chief Commissioner of
Police.
(2) The Director and the Chief Commissioner of Police, on receiving details of
the application, must make any inquiries in relation to the application that
the Director or the Chief Commissioner of Police considers appropriate.
(3) The Director and the Chief Commissioner, after receiving the results of
the inquiries, must report to the Authority.
(4) A report may include recommendations.
