Consent to disclosure of information
8A. Consent to disclosure of information
(1) The Authority may require a licensee, or a person submitting an
application for a licence, or a person appointed as, or proposed to be
appointed as, the person in charge of the day-to-day conduct of a travel
agency business, to provide to the Authority, at the time of submitting the
application or at any time during the currency of the licence, any consent
required by another person or body to enable the Authority to check or confirm
information relevant to the licence or application.
(2) Without limiting subsection (1), consent includes-
(a) the consent of the licensee or the applicant; and
(b) the consent of another person other than the licensee or applicant;
and
(c) if the licensee or applicant is a corporation, the consent of a
director of the corporation or a member of the corporation.
(3) The Authority may refuse to consider an application for a licence if the
applicant does not provide to the Authority the required consent within 14
days after the requirement is made.
