Extension of time

46A. Extension of time



(1) The Authority, on the application of the Director, the Chief Commissioner
of Police or any person or on its own initiative, may extend any time limit
fixed by this Act for taking any action.

(2) The Authority may give an extension under this section even if an
application for the extension was not made until after the end of the time
appointed or fixed for taking the action.

(3) This section does not apply to any time limit applying to the taking of
any proceeding before the Tribunal.
