Production of records in proceedings

42A. Production of records in proceedings





(1) If a record is produced to the Authority in respect of any application
under this Act, the Authority-



   (a)  if it considers it necessary for the purpose of the application, may
        keep the record for any period it considers necessary; and

   (b)  may make copies of the record or any part of the record; and

   (c)  may give to the person who produced the record a copy of the record
        which has been certified by the Registrar to be a true copy of the
        record.

(2) If-

   (a)  the Authority makes a copy of a record produced in respect of an
        application; and



   (b)  a member of the Authority certifies the copy to be a true copy of the
        record-

the certified copy is admissible in evidence in any proceedings as if it were
the record of which it is certified to be a copy.
